Pamela Waghorn is a former international Ballet dancer who has danced in Australia, London, Portugal, China, Greece, Turkey and Israel. She is a graduate of The Royal Ballet School, London and former Principal of the National Ballet Company of Portugal and Coryphée with the Australian Ballet Company. Pamela is a qualified classical ballet teacher and holds Associate & Licentiate Diplomas in C.D.T.A. (now amalgamated with the Australian Institute of Classical Dance) and the Royal Academy of Dance Teacher’s Certificate (Distinction). Pamela was also a sessional teacher at the University of Ballarat Performing Arts Programme for ten years and in 2006–2007 returned to Tertiary study and obtained a Graduate Certificate of Education — (Tertiary Education). She was also honoured to feature in the inaugural edition of “Amongst Ballarat’s Finest” in 2008. Now in her 37th milestone year as director of Ballarat Dance Works, Pamela is truly one of Ballarat’s most experienced and professional dance teachers.
